About the Documentary
Leaning Into the Lens is a short documentary written, produced and directed by Dr. Kathleen Cummins and Maureen McKeon. The film seeks to unpack the presence of the celluloid ceiling in film school. Through interviews with film industry professionals, film school graduates, and pedagogy experts, the filmmakers challenge audiences and educators to find more ways to support female-identifying students in film school.
